About your appointment
What to wear
You are likely to be asked to remove some items of clothing during examination and treatment as it is important that I am able to make an accurate diagnosis and this will make it easier. However, please don’t feel under any pressure to do this, if you prefer to remain as fully clothed as possible this will be respected, just be sure to wear something loose-fitting and flexible, especially avoiding jeans or other inflexible trousers.
Bring a friend or relative
You are welcome to bring a friend or relative to your appointment. You may feel more comfortable with someone you know in the room and this is absolutely fine. Sometimes this can be helpful for taking a case history if some support with remembering details is needed. There is a comfortable waiting room if you don’t need them for the full appointment or if someone has brought you and wants to wait.
All patients under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to be present throughout all appointments (If not a parent the guardian will need to be agreed with me prior to the appointment).
Medication
Please bring an up to date list of all medication, supplements and alternative remedies you are taking or have recently stopped taking.
Payment Methods
I can take payment by cash, card or Apple Pay. Payment is taken at each appointment.
Cancellation Policy
All appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or not attended may be charged at full price.
Insurance
If you are planning to use an insurance policy to cover the cost of treatment you will need to contact me in advance of your first appointment to ensure that your insurance company will approve me as your osteopath.
